Breeze Park Wellness Center – Weldon Spring, Missouri

Lutheran Senior Services selected Grubbs & Associates to design their new Wellness Center at their Breeze Park campus.  One challenge presented with the project was the site location.  The addition was to be built into the side of a hill, but natural light still had to reach particular spaces, so the building had to be designed to accommodate this.  The pool and spa areas receive natural light from a series of clerestory windows, while the café and market areas are placed on the side of the building at grade, and receive light from large windows looking out onto a pleasant courtyard with landscaping and walking paths.  The facility also includes a state-of-the-art media room, locker rooms, and an exercise/dance studio.
