Good Samaritan Care Center – Cole Camp, Missouri

Good Samaritan Care Center engaged Grubbs & Associates to assist them in the design of a new physical therapy and skilled nursing household addition, as well as the remodel of part of their existing building.  Since the new addition would fill all of the remaining property at their current site, it had to be designed to accommodate census growth in the future.  The new physical therapy facility will serve outside patients in addition to Facility residents, and the adjoining new household is intended to house “short-time” residents during their rehabilitations.  The household features thirteen resident units that will all initially be private rooms, each with a private bath and shower.  Each unit has been sized to be able to accommodate two beds, should such a need arise.  The household also has its own living, dining, activity and kitchen areas, contributing to the “home-like” atmosphere.
